- Accumulator
- A bet that combines multiple selections into one wager, and all selections must win for the bet to pay out, increasing potential returns.
- Asian Handicap
- A spread betting system that gives a handicap to teams to level the playing field, reducing the number of possible outcomes.
- Bet Builder
- An online feature that lets you combine different markets from a single match into one custom bet.
- Bonus
- Extra funds or free bets offered by a sportsbook, often with conditions you must meet before withdrawing.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Correct Score
- A wager on the exact final score of a match, which is harder to predict but offers higher odds.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes in a match, increasing your chance of winning.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet that refunds your stake if the match ends in a draw, leaving only a win for either team.
- Edge
- The perceived advantage you believe you have over the sportsbook’s odds on a particular outcome.
- Expected Goals (xG)
- A metric that estimates how many goals a team should have scored based on the quality of their chances.
- First Goalscorer
- A bet on which player will score the first goal in a match.
- Free Bet
- A no-cost bet provided by the sportsbook, usually with winnings returned excluding the free bet stake.
- Half-Time/Full-Time
- A bet that requires you to predict both the halftime result and the final result of a match.
- Handicap Betting
- A bet that gives one team a virtual advantage or disadvantage to balance the odds, similar to Asian Handicap but simpler.
- In-Play Betting
- Placing bets on a match while it is already in progress, with odds that update in real time.
- Kelly Criterion
- A formula that calculates how much of your betting budget to wager based on your perceived edge.
- Lay Bet
- A bet that a particular outcome will not happen, typically placed on a betting exchange.
- Margin
- The sportsbook’s built-in advantage, expressed as a percentage, which ensures they profit over the long term.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals in a match will be above or below a specified line.
- Payout
- The total amount of money returned to you after a winning bet, including your stake.
- Price Boost
- A promotion that increases the odds on a specific selection, offering higher potential returns.
- Push
- A tie result in a bet where the stake is returned and no winner is declared.
- Stake
- The amount of money you risk on a bet.
- Value Bet
- A wager where you believe the odds offered are higher than the true probability of the outcome, giving you an expected edge.
- Vig
- Short for vigorish, the commission charged by the sportsbook on losing bets, built into the odds.
